Replace the sky with Pixlr ToolKeep it simple by cutting, layering and erasing with Pixlr tools.
Begin by navigating to the Pixlr website or launching the mobile app. Click on "Open image" or the "+" icon to import the image you want to edit. Ensure that your image has a clear sky area that you'd like to replace.
In the left-hand toolbar, locate and click on the "Replace Sky" tool. This icon looks like a cloud with an up-arrow. Alternatively, you can find this feature under the "Tools" menu at the top of the screen.
Once the "Replace Sky" tool is active, you'll see a variety of sky presets available. Browse through the options and select the sky that best suits your desired aesthetic. You can also upload a custom sky image by clicking on the "Upload" button.
With your new sky selected, use the sliders to adjust settings such as "Edge Fade" and "Sky Intensity" to achieve a natural-looking blend between the original image and the replacement sky. You can also adjust the sky's position by clicking and dragging it within the image.
Once you're satisfied with the sky replacement, click on "Apply" to finalize the changes. To save your edited image, click on "File" and then "Save" or the "Export" button, choosing the desired file format and quality settings.
To tie the new sky and original environment better, adding an overlay will equalize the color temperatures so that they look harmonized. Overlays will also help color in any harsh white lines so that it lessens the obviousness that the image had been edited.
If you're feeling less linear and more abstract, use the 'Liquify' tool to add swirls between the lines so that the sky and environment feel intertwined. The 'Liquify' tool will create a gentle flow between the images.
Under 'Filter' you can find different filters and effects to change the vibe of your image. Effects like 'Pixelate', 'Glitches' and 'Vignette' have a very retro feel to them, which has been relatively popular.
